Seasonal Event Flower Pickups
Want to be a green saint?
Every day hundreds of planes from Kenya, Ecuador, Colombia, the Netherlands, and Ethiopia are loaded with flowers and flown to the US. They are then either transferred onto trucks or another plane for delivery within the US. The flowers grown overseas are beautiful, but the method of them reaching us in Pittsburgh isn’t sustainable or environmentally friendly. We’re not perfect in our methods here at greenSinner, but we do strive to be a little closer to green saints with everything we do. We’re trying to minimize our environmental impact by offering regionally grown personal flowers for your wedding.
The Green SAINTs Collection
With the Green Saints Collection, your centerpieces, bouquets, and boutonnières will be made from seasonal flowers that we have sourced as close as possible to our studio in Lawrenceville, including the over 14,000 flowers we grow in our backyard every year. We work closely with a network of small independent growers in the greater Allegheny County area to procure the best products possible. We hope that the flowers you have on your wedding day will never see the inside of a plane.
We offer five color palettes for flowers. We will use your choices to create florals that are sustainable, beautiful, and personal to celebrate your special day. Your wedding flowers won’t be the average bouquet that you can find on Pinterest. For having faith that we will create beautiful designs from local flowers and as a thank you for supporting sustainable practices, we’re able to offer these items below our standard pricing, with no minimum order.
Flower & Greenery Palettes
Our palettes are White and Classic (whites and greens), Creamy Dreamy (soft pinks, blush, and champagne), Boho Sunset (low-saturation pinks, peach, apricot, and gold), Bold and Bright (bright pinks, oranges, golds, reds, and purples), or Dark and Dramatic (dark reds and purples with pops of brighter contrast colors). We aren’t able to take requests for specific flowers. We’ll use what’s seasonal and available locally.
Available Items
The collection includes personal flowers (bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages) and standard low floral centerpieces.
Bouquets: Bridal Bouquet (large), Bridesmaid Bouquet (medium), Nosegay (small)
Boutonnières and Corsages: Boutonnière (smaller, for gentlemen), Pin Corsage (larger, for ladies), Wrist Corsage (on an adjustable bracelet)
Flower Girl Basket (includes petals for tossing)
Table Centerpiece: a simple low floral centerpiece in a champagne-colored glass cylinder (our standard) or designer’s choice (a selection of other glass, metal, or ceramic containers)
All of our arrangements are free of floral foam and single-use plastics.
Process & Pickup
You can place your order online (at least two weeks in advance, please). We do not accept orders for the following dates:
December 23rd, 2021 - January 3rd, 2022.
We’ll follow up with a confirmation, and before your wedding we’ll check in on a few final details. We’ll also confirm your pickup time.
We’re only able to offer pickups at our studio in Lawrenceville for this option. Sorry, no deliveries.
